Although formally educated at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, I believe my greatest teachers have been Mother Nature, world travel, surfing, music, love & loss (and the beauty in both), and this mysterious & ever surprising life.
In awe of life’s constant teachings, I’m in perpetual study of what I find to be one of the most beautiful & necessary aspects of existence: the human connection. My photography generously gives me the opportunity to witness and capture what my soul delights to see: people in love.
I still adore photography as much as I did when I was 5 and feel beyond blessed to still be taking pictures & telling stories of love.
I first moved to Kauai in late 1996 and made home in a treehouse on a hippie compound, swam with dolphins and wondered what beauty might await me on the next flight.
Born and raised in sunny California by brave Cambodian refugees, I believe my family’s history makes me a survivor at heart, compassionate by nature, and grateful for the colorful life I’ve been blessed to live. Life has made me an observer. A lover. A story teller.

The magic of photography put its spell on me at age 5 upon receiving the developed film from my first camera (courtesy of Dad).
Give me the open road, rich cultures, exotic lands and the window seat! I’ve visited 25 countries and hope to experience (at least) 25 more.
I’m a certified scuba dive master. Once while diving 120 feet deep into the Great Blue Hole in Belize I got narced. And liked it.
I lived through Dengue Fever (Indonesia) and parasites (India). Didn’t like it.
Mendocino Coast, Los Angeles, New York City and Fiji. I loved them all.
There is nothing more joyful and spectacular to me than surfing.
Waking up in a camper van in New Zealand, massages in Thailand, surfing til dark, NYC by night.
Riding a big beautiful wave between California and Kauai where I’m able to wander wild in nature and access the pulse of city life when I need it.
